Sedentary life is what people follow these days. The idea of staying fit is lost somewhere amidst their hectic work schedule, business, home and stress. This is the story of almost all. And, the idea of staying fit has got lost somewhere. After a hectic work schedule, one tends to get lazy or tired. Fitness then becomes a cumbersome activity and one also does not find it a priority. But, staying fit and active is one mantra which will help you be more productive at your work.
More often than not, people say its time constraint that prevents them from exercising. Well, I do have a solution for you …! Lunchtime work out, these workouts can be done even in your office which is very easy and you can wrap it up in 15 to 20 mins.
It’s recommended to aim for 2 1/2 hours of moderate aerobic exercise weekly, and strength training exercises at least twice a week.
Now here are few workouts which you can plan sitting at your desk
** ** Start with a warm up like the rotation of hand and legs and end with a cool down like stretching.
** 4 mins Tabata workout. In this, you can include 20 seconds of jumping jacks and 10 seconds rest, 20 seconds of squats and 10 seconds rest, 20 seconds of lunges and 10 seconds rest, 20 seconds of push-ups( knee push-ups are recommended if proper push-ups are not doable) and 10 seconds rest. Repeat these 4 workouts one more time in the same way.
** Resistance and stretching- Stretching can help you increase your blood circulation and bring flexibility it is also a method for stress bursting and it can ease lower back pain
** Yoga and meditation- Yoga is a very helpful to release stress and tension from our daily routine and make our day more energetic. Deep breathing directly recharges your whole body.
** Core strengthening can also help you provide energy for the day and will keep you fit
