In the current times all our lifestyles have drastically changed. And so has our working style. Today, people are glued to their computers and laptops without moving their body for hours. They work for 10-12 hours a day and for that whole time they are sitting on a chair . They probably get up once or twice for lunch or to get fresh.
This sedentary work style leads to lots of health issues. Most suffer from neck pain, back pain because of sitting on a chair for long hours. Some suffer eye problems due to continuously looking into the computer. Most do not eat regularly and have odd eating habits and timings. They are not taking care of their eating pattern and eating timings. They are very much stressed and irregular about their workout. Many do not even have a fitness regime.
But, this is certainly not a good way to lead a life. One should take some time out themselves and give a thought towards maintaining a balanced and fit lifestyle. You should concentrate on having a fitness regime and take care of your health. Or else in the future you may get into lots of problems in terms of diseases and weakness and joint pains etc.
Some physical activity and slight changes in your working pattern and eating pattern will help you stay fit. After having done this surely you will feel better and concentrate better in your work and be free of stress, back pains and neck pains.
A short free hand workout session of 15 minutes will help a lot to stay fit. 5 basic but effective exercises like jumping jacks, squats, push ups, crunches and plank will do wonders. Do two sets of each of these exercises with 15 to 20 repetitions each and it will be more than enough to improve your strength and stamina levels.
Bring about a slight change in your lifestyle by doing these simple things
** Include a walk on your way to home or to office
** Use the stairs instead of an elevator
** Sitting erect when you are seated on a chair
** Getting up after every couple of hours and stretching your back and body
** Keep a bottle of water at your desk and drink it frequently.
** Keep tiffin or snacks or fruits or dry fruits near the desk and eat it when hungry
**Don’t keep the brightness of the computer high and sit at a descent distance away from the screen
** Do not over eat as your appetite is likely to increase with the additional physical activity. If weight loss or maintenance is also one of your goals, don’t use this as an open license to eat a lot more, especially junk food, than you normally would.
So these are some the basic things which will help to stay fit for couch potatoes. Follow this and you will be fit with the same kind of work and working pattern but a slight changes in the lifestyle will work to make u a fitter person.
